The mod looked great before, it's just my preference to have it as accurate as possible to what Nintendo would have done had Sakamoto not axed the suit. I also replaced certain sections to get them cleaner and restore some details that were distorted or lost compare Samus' shoes: Note how all the cubes are now purple and red: I caught some varia textures during the morph ball transition that hadn't been colored purple and fixed them. They had been blue in the mod, but now they're reverted:
The swirls on the morph ball should correspond to Samus' chest plate, which is always red. Samus' inner thighs are now "unplated" by the gravity suit (as pointed out by KeithSmith): Certain parts of Samus' suit never change in appearance regardless of what upgrades she gets, and I've reverted some elements of the mod to retain that tradition. That's about as ergonomic as I can get it. When you're in first person view (holding down LT) and using the left stick to move your POV, you hold down the North face button to aim and then press the East face button to fire a missile. That gives you shoot and jump where you expect them. The D-Pad is bound to the emulated WiiMote's D-Pad, of course, and the left stick to its IR directions (Up, Down, Left, Right).
You can then hold down "LB" to point it up, and "LT" to point it at the screen. Anyway, that gives you a sideways WiiMote. The image prefers the right triggers and buttons on the right side I prefer the ones on the left side. Anyway, I'm just going to describe it for people who find text easier to follow. I tried coming up with an optimal gamepad config independently, and I pretty much just ended up just recreating what's in the image.
